Thanks for visiting my site, and welcome!
I'd like to start my blog with some exciting news. On International Women's Day, March 8th, I was honoured to be invited to the stage of the Every Woman's Centre's annual concert in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The support and joy I felt in the room was overwhelming. The Every Woman's Centre has not only been there for me in a time of great need, but has helped countless women and families. My Christmas was made by their generosity, when I was at one of my lowest points. Now, just a few months later, I have pulled through and am looking upward; that's largely due to the strength and support I get from the many great women I have the luck of knowing.
In celebration on International Women's Day, I would like to donate $5 of each sale of "The Family Album" to the Every Woman's Centre for the month of March. I also recently did a photo shoot with the very talented Cassie Gilmour - kudos to her for the beautiful shot I've newly featured on the site. More photos to come soon!
In planning for my first solo recording, I've applied for funding from FACTOR, and will be applying to Music Nova Scotia this week. There's a lot more than you'd think to recording, and it costs a pretty penny! You can help better my chances at getting funding by signing up for my e-mail list, listening to my music online, booking me for a show or private event, liking and commenting on my social media pages, and spreading the word!
